I am on Beta Version 89.0b2 (32 bit)

Recently when trying to send emails with addresses in both the To Line and the Bcc Line, when I hit the send button, all I get is a blink of the draft email and nothing else. It does not get sent and I do not get any visible error. Also, when I try to save or send an email, I often get an error message that it cannot attach the attachment, for me to check and ensure I have access to the file. Thank You!

Did you completely uninstall the beta?

This may be like China's "360" security software, you need to remove it from the directory, just run the uninstall program is not enough.

Does it work if you change the two preferences mentioned in the pink text here?

There are a few fixes in the next beta, 89b3, that concern sending and BCC.

I need help with the first reply. I cannot find the "mailnews.send.jsmodule" and "mailnews.smtp.jsmodule"under preferences to set them to false. I have been using Thunderbird for years, ever since the support for Netscape Communicator was discontinued. I have not idea how I got on the Beta version.

The preferences are under Preferences/General/Indexing/Config. editor. Click the toggle icon to switch the value (see picture).

Well, I changed the values and have send one email with To, Cc, & Bcc addresses with two attachments. AND IT WORKED! I am not going to mark is has "Solved the Problem" yet, but so far so good. THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH!!! I am president of a chapter of RV'ers and do frequent multiple addressed emails and often with multiple attachments, and I have been having to send from my wife's email account and computer. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried sending another multiple addressed email (multiple meaning To, Cc, & Bcc addresses) and it failed with the same indication. I rechecked the two items in Configuration and they were still set to False. So, this did not correct my problem, at the least the multiple address problem. I did not have any attachments involved at this time. When this problem first occurred, I downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird and reinstalled it. However, when I later checked the version installed, it still showed me running the beta version.

I completely uninstalled the Beta version. Installed version 78.10.1. Have not sent any emails yet that fit into the problem category. However, since this is the same version that is running on my wife's computer with not problems and I have been using hers to send emails, I am taking the positive position that this problem is solved. THANKS.
