I have Thunderbird 9.1.2.1 (32 bit) on a WIndows 10 computer. I have a new Windows 10 computer. Both are X86 64 bit computers. The new installation is 91.2.1 (64 bit). I have four e-mail addresses with associate with the earlier installation. one is a personal g-mail account, one is an e-mail address for a university, one is an SBCgloabal.net account (actually Yahoo or AT&T), and one is an archived account with e-mail addresses. I tried migrating my Thunderbird folders and profiles to the new account following the following steps: 1) Install the latest version of Thunderbird on the new computer. 2) On the old computer, go to the profiles line in the Thunderbird help. click the "open" button on the "profiles line" The folder opens up on File Explorer. 3) reverse up three levels to the "Thunderbird" folder. 4) Right click the folder and copy to a USB mounted hard-drive. 5). Disconnect the USB hard drive after safely ejecting it, and connect to the new computer. 6) Using the Thunderbird help on the new computer, click the profiles "open button in the new computer. 7). After File explorer opens up on the new computer profile, reverse up three levels to the "Thunderbird" folder on the new computer. 8) Close Thunderbird on the new computer, and clicking on an open space spot in the new computer Thunderbird folder, copy of the Old "Thunderbird" folder to the new computer "Thunderbird" folder. 9) Wait as the folder copies over. 10) restart the new Thunderbird installation.

However, when I open up the the new Thunderbird installation, only the personal g-mail account and associated e-mails seem to have copied over. The other three e-mail addresses are not there. Based on the address and number of files in the new computer all listed on the old computer for my e-mail address copied over. How do I transfer all of the e-mail addresses and settings and associated e-mails? Note on the old computer the personal g-mail account is at the top of the accounts listed in the Thunderbird GUI.

With SBC/AT&T accounts, a secure mail key is required for TB in place of the account password, and a separate key is required for each computer that has the account. So, you probably have to generate a new key from the new computer.

I do not know where to add a new key. In the new Thunderbird installation, no information shows for any of the missing e-mail addresses. The folder screen area only shows the personal gmail account; the rest is empty. Don't you need some place to enter the new keys after generation? How do I check in the profile if the other accounts are even present?

You would normally open Saved Passwords in Preferences/Privacy & Security, remove the existing key or password, then restart TB and enter the new key when asked for a password. But it appears the accounts didn't survive the transfer from the other PC. If the missing account are IMAP, add them on the new PC and the mail on the server will download on the first connection. Do the same if they are POP, but if the mail is not on the server to re-download, it can probably be restored from the transferred profile (it's just hidden).
