Chase Bank website on PC
Chase bank online has implemented a security page that states which browsers work with the site. However I have to re-install Firefox each time I want to sign on to my account or when I clear my history and cookies. Sometimes even re-installing it does not work. I have to use Microsoft edge as a backup browser on my PC to sign on to the Chase site. Anyone else experiencing this and what can I do to remedy it?

Hi, your browser has a new name. What I mean is, every browser sends a "user agent string" with requests and some sites use that to check for compatibility. Your Firefox told this forum
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0/QB3LsTFr-56
That last bit is not supposed to be there.
Recently, Avast AntiTrack has been identified as doing that sort of thing. If you have that add-on/program/feature, you could look into turning off whatever that behavior is called.
To check for a browser extension and potentially find its Options panel, either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. On the right side, find the "Manage Your Extensions" heading.
Do you have Avast AntiTrack? If so, click its name to show the Details panel. Here you may also see a link to Options (depending on the design of the extension) or you can click the slider switch to disable it temporarily.
