Navigation - Multiple Tabs
Firefox continues to add a new tab during navigation on a website. Every selection adds a new tab rather than staying within the original tab. Trying to sign out from a website is problematic because a new tab is added which is blank and the original remains signed in. How can this be changed?

Could be a problem with an extension (maybe Open Link with New Tab).
Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the Default System theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

Close the Options/Preferences tab. After making these changes, Firefox should keep the navigation within the original tab instead of opening new tabs for each selection.
