This a copy of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1394918 which was archived without ever being answered.

I have a non default identity which has the sent and draft folders set to the default identity. When I write mail from this non default identity no draft is written. When I send the mail it is sent but hangs copying the mail to the sent folder.
