How to stop Picture search pops up instead of opening to page

If I do a search (whether google or bing) and then open images and then click on a picture, Firefox opens to the pictures page with the enlarged picture superimposed over the page. I then must x out the picture to get to the page.

I do not know why this is happening. I remember in the past if I clicked an image it opened on the picture in the web page directly.
Does anyone know what is making this happening and how to remove this?

It is Google doing that by adding some scripts to the pages to open a light box that shows the image to avoid having to scroll to the image. I assume that Bing is doing something similar.
