why did "Bing" appear when I downloaded Firefox 5 and made Firefox my default browser?
For unknown reasons, BING began appearing when I opened google in firefox. BING did not appear when I opened google in chrome. I don't want BING. How do I get rid of it, specifically in the firefox setting. thank you.

Unwanted toolbars usually can be removed here:
orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Add-ons
On the left side, click Extensions, then look for Bing and there should be a Disable and a Remove button. If there isn't a Remove button, then you usually can remove it through the Windows Control Panel: Add/Remove Programs.

I assumed it was a toolbar, but if it's your home page, you can change your home page to Google by first going to the Google page you want as your home page, then using the tips in this article: How to set the home page | How to | Firefox Help.
