Cannot eliminate Pop-Up Blocker! It is NOT checked! And yet I cannot function!
I have posted this question repeatedly in the past 2 weeks with no response. I am trying to WORK on Quickbooks Online. I can be working just fine and then suddenly am alerted with the Pop-Up blocker thing - when IT IS NOT CHECKED IN MY PREFERENCES.
It will NOT allow me to "add" the site and in fact it already lists it as "added" or "allowed" in the window, yet does not do anything when I click "allow" except re-loop me over and over again in the came circle.
There MUST be a way to work without this!
Now I can't even log in without getting in this loop!
HELP!!!!!!!

Sorry, this is the only other "question" thread that I can find, started by that username.

There is a max of 20 popups allowed and then you get the warning, but you can change that number.
Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter.
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Pref = dom.popup_maximum - right-click that pref and select Modify and insert a higher value that you can live with. I don't know what the max value is and if it will accept more than 2 digits, so 99 might be the place to start or a lesser value that you can work with.
Thank you for responding! I'm sorry I do not understand what you are explaining. Are you saying that only 20 "pop-ups" are allowed on Firefox even when you aren't asking it to block pop ups?
Are you saying that while I'm inside the https secured area to delete that url and type about:config in there?
What is this pref=dom.popup thing you are typing under that? where does that go? I'm on a Mac and don't right/left click.
Sorry to be so confused.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!
I figured out what you were telling me and I entered 5000 and it worked!
God Bless You!
Just so I'm clear - and for anyone else who finds this question and needs to know - I take it that Firefox blocks pop ups after 20 pop ups REGARDLESS of if you have the blocker set up - yes?
