I've come to notice that FF has an ever growing demand on the CPU...even on the start page...you can watch the cpu usage climb.

Nothing else going on, no updating, or downloading...but continues to grow as if I were.

I generally have 3 tabs open...Home (FF), Windows Live, and FB...over a period of 10-15 mins...I see FF using an average of 600+ - over 1 GB of processor power...I resolve this be frequently closing & re-opening FF...but it's not a long term fix.

Try removing that Bitdefender QuickScan 0.9.9.109 add-on, disabling it might not completely disable it.

Disabled Bit Defender...CPU usage dropped dramatically...Cheers...any chance of something low usage, & similar, that Mozilla recommends to replace it?
