My download speed is 256kbps but firefox downloads at around 90kbps max and the sothink extention at 60kbps, plz help!
My download speed is 256 kbps but i get only 90kbps . and at the sothink add on jus 60 kbps which is very pissing off. This happens only at firefox other browerses give me my full speed kindly fix this bug. p.s- i have the latest firefox which i downloaded from its official website.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
