I can log into my Yahoo account okay. However, when I go to access and open my mail, there seems to be this endless searching, as if firefox is sifting through my files but does not stop. It keeps going on forever.

I have this problem too from many days ago, i have tryed to disable the add ons, but it was useless. And the the weird thing is that I cannot access from any other browser (Safari/chrome). Im using firefox 22.0

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
