How do I quickly delete 1000s of old emails downloaded from gmail?
I bought a new computer. I started a new TB account. It downloaded thousands of emails from my gmail account. I understand that was my own stupidity/ fault. What I need is how to remove them "en masse" from my TB account. I have deleted many from gmail, but the number of messages on my TB account slows it down drastically. Thanks for any help.

If your using POP3 account, all your emails are saved locally, once you deleted you can't get it back.
If your using IMAP account, once you delete from thunderbird it will be deleted from Mail server also.
