Have last version of flash player and video driver (there is only one version of video driver on vaio support) But it still crashes. Mention when open new site (doesn`t matter heavy or light) in task manager FF eates about 1,2 gb + container plugin 0,8gb , so totally about 2gb of memory for 1 tab !! Suggest something

We were asking for the links but that'll do!! :)

The crash report is showing that it's an OOM (out of memory) crash.Your System Memory Use Percentage (RAM usage) is showing 96% which is REALLY high for just one site. Visit the below link for fixes on that.

Loading a single site, other than maybe a huge Facebook news feed, should not consume 1GB of memory.

In case one of your extensions is the culprit, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run

After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset).

Any difference?

To help distinguish regular page rendering issues from Flash issues, try using the built-in Click-to-Play/Ask to Activate feature. This will delay Flash from starting on a page until you approve it.

To set "Ask to Activate", open the Add-ons page using either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. Look for "Shockwave Flash" and change "Always Activate" to "Ask to Activate".

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification icon in the address bar and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an infobar sliding down between the toolbar area and the page.

For sites where you do not care about using Flash, just ignore it. When you approve it, the Flash players should come up within about 10 seconds.

Any difference?

When Firefox crashes, it usually records information about what was happening at that moment. You can submit that data to Mozilla and share it with forum volunteers to see whether it points to the solution. Please check the support article "Firefox Crashes" (especially the last section) for steps to get those crash IDs, and then post some of the recent ones here.
