Why can't I move any buttons?
I upgraded to v30 and some add-on buttons moved from the status bar to the "main" menu bar a couple others disappeared. No big deal, some of that occurs after almost every restart since Australis. I just customize and move them back.
I can't in v30. I can open the customize screen, but I can't move anything. I can right click and remove or right click and add, but anything added just goes on the right end. Nothing will move. When I grab something, it will temporarily leave the bar, but I can't drop it anywhere. When I let go of the mouse button, the icon just jumps back into place.
What is going on here!??
I don't know if it is related, but when I look at the add-ons window/tab, any scrolling will cause all the text and icons to turn completely into white silhouettes for a few seconds. All the colors come back, but scrolling again causes the problem to return.
Thanks.

Thank you for trying the new Firefox. We’re sorry that you’re unhappy with the new design.
Here are a few suggestions for restoring the old design. We hope you’ll find one that works for you:
- Use the Classic Theme Restorer to bring back the old design. Learn more here: How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox
- Use the Add-on Bar Restored to bring back the add-on bar. Learn more here: What happened to the Add-on Bar?
Firefox is a work in progress and your feedback is very important to us. Our support community is run by volunteers who work hard to help all Firefox users, but we can’t make changes to the design ourselves. Please help us improve Firefox by leaving feedback where the designers and engineers can see it: https://input.mozilla.org/en-US/feedback.
You can check for problems with preferences.
Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
