Started getting a message that Shockwave Flash is vulnerable and should be updated. Update window says it is version 11.5.502.146 and currently installed programs shows Flash Player Plugin 14 is installed.

Chosen solution

The Troubleshooting Information you provided along with this question shows that you have Shockwave Flash 11.5 r502 installed as opposed to v14. I'm assuming that v14 is for IE as Firefox and IE use different versions of Flash (IE uses ActiveX) Install the latest version of Flash player from Adobe

Also, be wary of pop-ups saying Flash is out of date. This is always a scam to infect your computer. Many users click on it and end up here doing a malware scan.

That took care of it. Thank you. Wasn't aware IE and Firefox used different versions of Flash. I wasn't getting a popup, the message was on the Firefox page.
