Firefox version 31.0. All plug-ins show as up to date except Microsoft Office (unknown) nVidea 3d (unknown) and Photo Gallery (unknown). None of these plugins have caused issues previously. It does not matter whether I go to Google maps directly or through a link. Map starts to show, gets about 90% done, then firefox crashes. On restart, Firefox asks to reopen all tabs EXCEPT google maps tab.

I have also tried starting Firefox in SAFE mode, but it still crashes.

I tried all of these suggestions, but no luck. I have started using yahoo maps, which works. Google maps still crashes.
