When I was using Firefox 28 and now Firefox 33, when I delete a search bar entry, even though only one item is highlighted two entries always get deleted, the highlighted entry and the one below it. I'm using Google as my default search provider. I don't want it to do this, I only want to delete the specific entry that's highlighted. How do I fix this?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
