The mail account listed at the top of Folder Pane and top one in Account Settings is the default mail account.

To set a different default mail account: 'Tools' > 'Account Settings' or 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Account Settings'

  • Select the account name you want as default
  • Click on 'Account Actions'
  • Select: Set as Default'
  • Click on OK
