I typed in "about:config" in the URL bar to disable the location-aware feature completely and got the warning below:

"This might void your warranty! Changing these advanced settings can be harmful to the stability, security, and performance of this application. You should only continue if you are sure of what you are doing."

Then there's a button for me to click on that says, "I'll be careful, I promise!"

The void warranty warning is kind of a joke abut also being serious in that you should not change anything unless you know what it does.

Just remember if you want to remove a added preference (as some settings are hidden) or to set a userset preference back to default, just right-click it and select Reset.

Firefox is free software and doesn't come with a real warranty, so this is merely meant as the way the developers have chosen to make you aware to be cautious with making changes to prefs on the about:config page.

Mozila does have a bit of a sense of humor as seen in about:robot which can be found with other about: urls in about:about

Don't forget "The Book of Mozilla" on the about:mozilla page.
