I know that Firefox can associate certain filetypes with plugins but can the same be done with add-ons? I want my add on to be associated with a specific filetype. For example lets say it was .mp3 files. Now whenever a link to an mp3 file is clicked I would like the link to be sent to my add-on where it will be handled. Is this possible? where can I find information about doing this? Thank you.
