I was wondering if there is a place in the forum that takes suggestions from end-user that would greatly enhance use of firefox?

My suggestion is related to browser customization layout.

It would be nice if we could put "breaks" in the bars going across the top and bottom, so that when we add one of the shortcut icons, they don't all bunch up on the left side of the browser.

For example put all the privacy related icons on left, all the browsing related icons in middle, and all the chat related icons on right side. This way they are not all lumped on the left is a small area.

So it is easier to see security related info while not being distracted by chat related icons for example that are bunched right next to it.

here is a very good example of what I am suggesting from VLC interface customization. http://www.vlc-player-download.com/vlc/interface-customization.html

note the "<->" this says put space here between control icons.

Maybe that's all you need is a square that is blank without an Icon that can be repeatedly placed to give user control over how much space is between control icons.

I suspect doing it this way would minimize the coding needed All I can imagine you needing is the new "repetitive" part blank icon block. Letter O is the blank block other lefter first letter of control icon. Example: S-A-G-O-O-O-O-O-O-D-T-O-O-O-O-O-C-V-R see how the control letters are now spaced with blank "O" in between? Now when I am looking at the security related control icons on left I do not have D,T,C,V,R distracting me from S,A,G.

Chosen solution

In the old days, there were separators and flexible spaces (used for separating left and right-aligned icons, not sure about centering), but Firefox 29 and higher do not have those.

Users who need those back now could try the multi-purpose UI customizer Classic Theme Restorer (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/ad.../classicthemerestorer/). It might be overkill, though.

To submit feature suggestions you can use either:

This forum is not well suited to that function.

thanks for the classic theme restorer, it exactly what I was looking for. I am using your other link to suggest that either they build those options back in or at-least give a link within customize browser/ help menu, that will take you to the addons that will give you those very basic options. That way those who don't want it can have a more streamlined firefox. While those that want to customize further can have easy access to adding those features in. through the "three line menu/ help icon" that takes you to the classic customization options. same way the feedback in help icon works.
