Headers not matching the email body is a sign of folder corruption. If you have 8 years of messages in your inbox that is why. Right click the problem folder and select Properties. Then Repair Folder. Thunderbird will rebuild the index and recover the files it can. You may lose some.
Then read this about maintaining your email folders.http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keep_it_working_%28Thunderbird%29
Hi
i Have checked the add ons and disabled them still same problem
I have not compacted the folder for some time as i thought this may have contributed to the problem
Im using Nortons anti virus and have checked its settings and all seems good there as only quarantining them
I did move the emails i wanted to keep about 10% of them to other folders but this seem to make the problem worse
is there any way of re indexing the data ?
