I keep changing the settings so that I'm not asked which program I want to view word docs but the windows keep popping up. I need to fix this.

I teach online so have to download hundreds of student papers. Every time I download, a pop up window opens that asks me to choose how to open the document. It also tells me I can change the settings through options. I want the pop up window to go away, I want word docs to just open. Else wise I'm getting rid of Firefox. What a royal pain. I've gone to options, settings, and changed the settings half a dozen times, but the pop up window keeps happening every time I want to open an student's paper (download it). How do I get rid of this stupid window?

When the 'what to do' window opens, is there a box labeled Always? Turn it on, then make your choice.
