I have set Firefox as my default browser, from Chrome, and am going through all the set up info given. I can't find how to access my Hotmail (Outlook) live.com account on Firefox. If I can't use my email on Firefox, I'll have to go back to staying with Chrome. I hope you can help me. Thank you.

You can use the Outlook log in page just like you do in other browsers. This link should go to the Live.com login page and proceed to the Outlook website.

Doesn't that work for you?

Is this a problem with a missing bookmark? When Firefox imports your bookmarks from Chrome, it's possible they might not end up in the same locations. Also, Firefox may not automatically display the Bookmarks Toolbar, you might need to turn it on.

To turn different bars on and off, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select the desired bars there:

To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, click it on the list.

If you need to move some bookmarks from the Bookmarks Menu to the Bookmarks Toolbar, it may be easiest to use the Library dialog. You can open that using either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+b
  • "Show All Bookmarks" from the Bookmarks menu (menu bar or toolbar button)

On the left side you will see the categories Bookmarks Menu, Bookmarks Toolbar, and Unsorted Bookmarks. If you expand the Bookmarks menu and find some bookmarks on the right that you want on the toolbar, you can click, drag, and drop them on the toolbar in the left pane.

Does that help?

Thank you. I will need to try this solution later. My head hurts now from trying to learn all the features of Firefox. I got as far as turning on the bookmarks toolbar, but have to stop before going further. These bookmarks are so different from Chrome. I just spent quite a time just learning how to reply to your answer on the new-to-me support forum. Can you keep this thread open for another day or two?
