I have been using FIrefox for a number of years. It has updated numerous times. Today, after update, it would not connect to internet sites. Frustrated, I finally, after saving bookmarks, deleted it. Now, trying to download it, the "downloading window just runs and runs. It's not downloading. What can I do now? I'm left with Internet Explorer, which won't take my bookmarks file. So I'm back to square one. Any help?

From which browser you download it? By the way Please do this Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:

   Windows:
       C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
       C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.

then Try to download it again. Install it
