Closing Firefox in Mac OS X works from menus but not always using shortcut Command+Q. This became possible in Yosemite and El Capitan. I suspect there is a bug in teh system, which is exploited by web designers to prevent closing the windows. pLease investigate. I am running 10.11.1 on a MacBook Air.

Thanks!

A keyboard shortcut doesn't work when a plugin has focus, so you can click the mouse elsewhere to check for such an issue if the keyboard isn't working.
