Firefox crashes
Firefox crashes upon startup in both 32 and 64 bit versions. Also crashes in Safe Mode. These are clean installs in Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

philipp, You sir are a genius. The problem ended up being I had extra software installed by Nvidia when I updated my graphics card drivers. It was a program called--Nvidia Forceware Network Access Manager. Uninstalled and rebooted and the issues went away.

Nvidia has been giving Firefox problems of late. Check for updates.

Just downloaded the latest drivers for my video card and motherboard. I am still having the same issue

Yes and No. Yes I am now able to start Firefox without it crashing, and No I cannot even go to Google.com. Anything I type in the address bar will not load it just "refreshes" back to a blank page.
What security software do you have?
There is security software like Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and can send their own certificate.
