To properly update my flash player, I've had to uninstall & reinstall & I have one part of firefox saying my firefox is update to & another saying not. Bug?

Further, I'm trying to watch a livestream that the page is saying will not load. I've loaded it fine on another product -- a tablet. These issues all together leads me to believe that this is a firefox software issue, not an issue with either plug in or website.

Any time you want or need to check for upgrades, go to the web site of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to Mozilla.org. {web link}

Current is Firefox 43.0.3

I've got the current Firefox then.

But...again tonight I had to (for the second time) uninstall Flash player and then download the updated version. And on the page where I can check if my plug ins are up-to-date, it says my firefox is an old version.

And as I said, I had a livestream tonight that I got to work on my tablet and on IE, but wouldn't load on firefox.

Firefox 42+ has a Tracking Protection feature that is enabled by default in Private Browsing mode. When you are in private browsing mode then Firefox can show a shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar that some content is affected.

You can disable this feature in "Options/Preferences > Privacy" or via the about:privatebrowsing page that get when you open a New Private Window.

  • Options/Preferences > Privacy: "Use Tracking Protection in Private Windows"

You can check the log in the Web Console for error messages and the Network Monitor (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to see if content fails to load or is possibly blocked.

Use Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

Well that solves the livestream issue I think. I'll try that next time. Thanks!
