I'm trying to import Eudora emails into Thunderbird on my Mac running 10.6.8 and Eudora 6.2.4

When I select Eudora for import, the Thunderbird creates the Eudora Import folder and folder structure, but no emails appear in the folders, it looks like the attached image. I've tried several older releases all the way down to 10 but the results are the same each time.

What do I need to do to fix this problem?
