The tabs are hard to see where one starts and another one ends, even with various themes. How do I outline them so they are easier to see?

I have tried multiple themes to see if it helps and regardless, the tabs are hard to see where one begins and another ones ends. Is there some feature I can turn on to make them more outlined and I can see them easier? All that is between them is a sheer faded grey'ish line and the X to close a tab is mostly visible, but that also depends on the theme selected. I've chosen for now, to use a very light colored theme otherwise using the internet in firefox is pretty useless, since I can't see any of the tabs beginnings/ends or even the X's. Thanks,

You could try the Classic Theme Restorer extension.

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to customize the appearance and restore features used in older Firefox versions.

  • You can check out the settings of the CTR extension via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.
  • You can find extra toolbar buttons and more toolbar settings in Customize (3-bar Firefox menu button > Customize)

If I remember correctly I've got my tabs marked exactly as recommended by cor-el.

I have no idea how much this would help but I suggest you look for the favicon near the start of the tab to get your bearings and click on this. There is no real need to know where the tab starts or finishes. I would also recommend keeping the number of tabs to a minimum. You could store tabs removed as separate bookmarks, or in folders, very handy on your Bookmarks Toolbar. I realize you will have a similar problem distinguishing your bookmarks.
