I tried to start Thunderbird and got a message that it was still running. clicked on shut down and it told me it could not find my profile. Task manager doesn't find Thunderbird. Rebooting did no good. Even reinstalling did no good. I saw someone else had the same problem, but I apparently am not as smart as them because I could not follow the directions. Heck, I have no idea how to find my missing profile or what to do with it if I did. Can you please help out a dense old man?

What is the exact error message?

The message: Thunderbird is already running, but is not responding. The old Thunderbird process must be closed to open a new window.

When I click on "Close Thunderbird" I get this message:

Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing on inaccessible.
