How can I go further back than 2 months in history?
I know that I used to be able to go much further back than just 2 months. Is it possible that it changed when I set up Sync a few weeks ago? How can I change it so that I get at least 6 months of history?

History and cookies can be removed or not recorded several ways;
- 1) Running Firefox in Private Mode (nothing is recorded)
- 2) Privacy settings; (Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar.)
- 3) Many disk cleaners and anti-virus type programs can remove data from browsers. Open their settings and have them leave the browsers alone.
- 4) Mal-ware.
I don't want to delete history -- I want to keep more than two months worth...
Read the first line of my last post again.
The first line of your post states: "History and cookies can be removed or not recorded several ways;."
As I stated in my question and response, I DO NOT want to delete history; I want to have more than two months available to view/search.
Thanks for responding, but I'm looking for different information than what you provided.

Again, I do NOT want to delete or NOT record history; I want to have more than two months available to view/search.
Check your settings using the instruction from my first post. Are they set up properly?
Note: I am not giving you instructions to remove your history. I am trying to help you find the reason history is not being saved.
Sync only covers a limit amount of history, so you will lose history older that has would be saved to Sync. You would have to backup places.sqlite locally or otherwise backup history locally.
If you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop as the result of using the Refresh feature then you can check the places.sqlite file in that folder.
You can also look at this NirSoft utility:

You're welcome.
