pages queue up while scrolling then skip over a bunch

Nice thing, firefox is; however, while scrolling down using the little vertical horizontal bar (versus scroll wheel) the pages start to move and then all of a sudden you are jumping too fast down to bottom of where you have stopped this scroll block. Then, the only was to see what you missed is scroll back up slowly, but then to get to where you are you have to scroll back down, etc Any fix?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
