I set my Firefox default pages to open gmail, calendar, google keep and facebook on start-up. Each time I clicked on a tab, it would keep trying to load the page. I followed the instructions to RESET Firefox on your support site then I went into the preferences to reset my default pages. I noticed an option in Preferences \ General called "Don’t load tabs until selected" was checked (on). I unchecked it and now the pages are loading fine. Does this make sense?

Thats fine. Actually while opening the tabs won't load the page until you select that tab.

If you uncheck, it automatically loads while opening the firefox.

If you have many web pages, and those pages have players or pictures, there could be a bottleneck with your internet. With that option on, the pages don't load until you select it.
