Chosen solution

You can try to restore the bookmarks from a compressed .jsonlz4 backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.

The name of a JSON bookmarks backup file includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once.

  • bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4.

Worked great and thanks for the extremely speedy reply.

W7 wouldn't let me browse to the location, so I copied the file to the desktop to access it. I must need to setup "folders" with more accessibility.

Thanks so much, didn't know that existed. So many hidden features, so little time.

Just verified my thought. Needed to set folders to show hidden files/folders, etc. Then it worked great.

Thanks again.
