Firefox is on "Remember History". No search history shows up in the menu bar or when you click "Show All History".

You are talking about two different things. History only records where you have been. Form history records entries in a text field.

How can I see my past history? It doesn't show up anywhere.

I access my history from icons from add-ons. You might look in your Customize Box to see if you have any such icons. An easy way is usually via History in the old Menu Bar(File, Edit, View,History, etc). If it is not showing, you should be able to bring up that Menu Bar by right clicking on a toolbar space and selecting Menu Bar.

I looked for the history in the menu bar. There is nothing there. I tried going to "Show All History" and there is nothing there. I have the preference on "Remember History", so I don't know why there is no past searches showing. Anyone know how to fix this?

History and cookies can be removed or not recorded several ways;

  • 1) Running Firefox in Private Mode (nothing is recorded)
  • 2) Privacy settings; (Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar.)
  • 3) Many disk cleaners and anti-virus type programs can remove data from browsers. Open their settings and have them leave the browsers alone.
  • 4) Mal-ware.
