gives error when opening webpages

when i try to access certain pages it gives me a "problem loading page" error. Saying it is unable to connect. Here is exactly what it tells me...

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at www.vh1.com. 

   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I was able to access the site with no problem.

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

This Connection is Untrusted is sometimes caused because the computer system clock is wrong. Check the time / date / time zone settings.
