Firefox will revert a number of settings to their default values every few days. When this happens, the "Firefox stats and data" message will appear in the Android notification area. This is with a clean install; no extensions, no plugins, no about:config changes that are not exposed in the settings menu.

Hello Jens_Lyn_IV, Did you check if you have a task killer app that is killing Firefox? maybe like clean master or DU Speed booster?

Please check if any of your task killers are killing Firefox, this might be a possible reason why your Firefox's settings are resetting.

If this answer helped you solve your problem, please take a moment to appreciate it. Thank you!

Thanks for the response.

I only have 3 apps installed: Firefox, a simple GPS data display, and a remote control app for my camera. The latter two see very little use and have not been opened for months. The only apps running are default Android stuff.

Phone is an LG H410.

1. This IS a clean install. I posted this question shortly after reinstalling Firefox.

2. Android has no registry.

3. I already listed my non-default apps.

I appreciate your trying to help, and it's okay if you have no other suggestions, but please say so rather than posting irrelevant Windows-specific information in the Android forum.

Update: My settings have managed to stick for quite a while now. I haven't paid attention to whether it coincided with an update, but consider this a preliminary "works for me."
