I want to install a different language version without losing profile

I accidentally installed the English language version of Thunderbird on my new computer. I'd like to uninstall it, download the Italian version, and install that instead, because I'm more familiar with the menu items and terms.

However, I've just spent hours merging two different versions of my inbox, from two different computers, and I don't want anything at all to change regarding my mail. Will installing a different version of the program preserve my existing profile? If there's any risk, I'd rather stick with the English version.

Thank you.

No, you would replace the program but it will use the existing profile.
