I cannot print shipping labels from firefox. Get the message - Print Preview Error - an error occurred while printing. I refreshed the printer, refreshed firefox, reinstalled the printer, reinstalled firefox, tried the "about:config" tricks and none of this has worked. I still cannot print. I see that this has been a problem for years and there is no solution. What can I do to fix this?

Was Firefox closed when you reset the printer preferences in about:config?

Does that have to do with a label printer? If so, which brand and model?

The printer is a Canon MX472. Doesn't there have to be at least one Firefox tab open to use the about:config option? If there is another way, please let me know. Thank you

I have this problem just printing out regular web pages. I am still running Vista. I can print from text files, can use the printer (a Brother MFC...) tool to print a test page, Nothing happens when I press the properties button on the firefox printer setup dialog. Is this the result of a firefox upgrade that broke the print spooler for the now unsupported OS? Can it be fixed?
