New device won't sync after password reset

more options

I have Mozilla sync'd between my (old) laptop and my phone, and it was a lovely pairing. Old laptop got stolen earlier today, and in setting up my new laptop, I forgot my old password and ended up resetting the password to Firefox Sync on the new computer. I'll hit 'sync now' and nothing happens, no favorites, no tabs, no recent session, nothing.

This computer is running the latest version of mint, and my old computer was running mint 13 I believe. It hasn't been updated in ages but was happily puttering along while I blissfully neglected to update the software to a newer version which may overwork that relic.

Thinking I brought it upon myself when I reset the password on my new computer. See new thread on saving the existing tabs, favorites, etc...

If I'm wrong, and there's still hope, I'll keep this thread open in a tab as well just to observe.
