Is it possible to download mails directly from an android phone (Sony Xperia) to thunderbird, without involving a mailserver?

more options

I would like to retrieve a set of e-mails from my Sony Xperia Z5 compact to Thunderbird running on my PC (under linux) without involving the mail server. The mails are available to me only on my Xperia. They are no longer on the mail server, as I set this up as a Pop server. They are also not on my PC, because I had a hard disk crash that wiped out my former thunderbird files.

I have some ideas on this, but they are complicated solutions.

1. Setting up an e-mail server on your computer for your phone to connect to, then transferring the e-mails to your computer that way.

2. Somehow learning how your phone stores e-mail and creating code to convert it into something that Thunderbird can use.

Neither of which I would generally recommend, and I will not try to give instructions on. If you want to try them, then you will have to learn how to on your own.

I would recommend contacting Sony support about this, since it is their device that you want to get the data from.
