I can not install an addon from a file (downloaded)?!
Hi I am trying to install an addon that I have downloaded - I have looked at the following article Installing an Add-on in Thunderbird / Download - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/installing-addon-thunderbird Neither option work: Option 1) I can NOT find the icon for the drop down next to the search box with the menu item "Install add-on from file" Option 2) Drag & drop - This absolutely does not work! - I just upgraded to & am running Thunderbird version 52.2.0 (32-bit) Any help would be appreciated please. Thanks.

Hopefully you are looking at the Add Ons tab for the gear Icon to get to that menu. See image.
You can also put the add on name in the search box and when it is found there is an Install button.
Yes - I think I am! - From TB - I go to Tools menu - Choose addons - A tab opens up with the title "Add-ons Manager" with the selection "Get Add-ons" selected on the left pane - I DO NOT see any search boxes or gear icons anywhere en this page - So I chose "Browse all add-ons" arrow on the bottom right side of this page. I Got a new tab with the title "Featured Extentions:Addons for Thunderbird" I see a search box here but still no gear icon!
