Definitely sounds like a scam-popup. To secure your computer from any potential threats. I'd run both Anti-Malware and AdWare scan. I'd suggest using MalwareBytes, I've had no problems using their software for my security.

As well for future occurrences, I'd suggest installing uBlock origin, an adblocker for Firefox which will definitely help.
