I just installed Quantum, now I get a bunch of misdirects to porn stuff. I tried the same links with Sea Monkey and they all work good, I have since uninstalled

I just did an install on Firefox Quantum, but when I click on links, I get mis-directed to wrong sites, including porn. Is this a legitimate upgrade or was it some sort of trojan? I clicked on the same links using my Sea Monkey browser and all works as it should. I have since uninstalled Firefox, but I am reluctant to try it again. I also did a Malwatrebytes scan, it showed some threats from a couple of Mozilla sources, all of which have now been quarantined.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here:

Then reinstall the latest version.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
