Ever since the last firefox update I keep getting search.onesearch.org link populates newly opened tabs. I have my settings set so tabs should come up blank. When I search online onsearch is said to be an intrusive bug. I've tried suggested ways to remove and my virus scanner isn't catching it. Also, I don't have this problem with IE. How can I remove onesearch?

It sounds like you have a third party program that has taken over your search engine, home page, and/or the default new tab page. Fortunately, this can be remedied easily:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Add-ons.
  2. In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
  3. Select the toolbar you wish to remove.
  4. Click the Remove button.
  5. Click "Restart now" if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
