A couple of hours ago, Firefox updated. I hate it. Is there any way to return to the previous version without eliminating Firefox altogether?

Chosen solution

This article has a link to a page containing all released versions of FF, including old ones: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox

Before you upgrade to FF57, it'd be a good idea to back up your profile (just in case).

Misinformation being given out. yes it works but...

Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use do to security issues, but 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Stupid answers. I do not want to sound mean, but I just want to back out of the update that Firefox just did [without my permission!] I cannot log into ANY of my sites as Firefox no longer links to saved passwords. Yuck. I am in the middle of my workday and this will takes hours to fix.
