My phone inbuilt memory is very low. I have added external sd card with lots of free space. When I download something, it get stored in phone internal memory. But I want it to be stored directly in the external sd card. How can we do so?

Hello, should it work on Nougat v7.1.2? Because if I click some download link, after the download location changed and firefox restarted, firefox seems to load the download content (the cross button appears) but after 2 seconds this button disappears and there is no download progress like usual.

Does the download show up on the Downloads list? If not, perhaps the new location is off limits for downloads on your system.

Yes, Downloads list contains all linked files I want to download. All with "Unknown size" description. New location has many free space so I think there's problem with write permissions for Firefox :-/ My home page is "file:///storage/6AF1-220E/Download/homepage.html" and firefox opened it with success, but to this directory can't download...

I have firefox nightly (60.0a1) for my android phone (Sansung Galaxy S7), and yes, I did try to follow the old instructions from above

unfortunately, it does not work, so unless firefox nightly/android changed something; how do I set my location to my sd card

the alt label it has is 7DE2-D72A; do I set the browser.download.dir to /sd card/Download, /SD Card/Download or /7DE2-D72A/Download
