Hi, I have been using TB for several years with 5 e-mail accounts. I recently instaled it in a new computer, but many email are missing.

One of my e-mail accounts does not have all e-mails - the arquives are missing, the sent e-mails are missing... and it is my mais e-mail account with thousands of e-mails :(

I noted that the place where messages are stored is different than profile folder - I do not know if this can have some influence.

Would anyone be able to help me? I am really lost - I already migrated TB in the past several times without any issues...

Thank you.

Cristina

Chosen solution

I'd suggest contacting your email provider. Many have automatic archival procedures and rules leading to removing email and backing it up offline (or not at all).

In the future you can keep a copy of important email in Local Folders and make periodic Thunderbird profile backups.

The folders may be there but you're not "subscribed" to them all. This happens frequently on new IMAP accounts, GMail also has special folders.

Right-click on your email account header, in the left folder pane, and click "Subscribe...", maybe you need to check some boxes there.

Thank you for your answer Fabian. The only available option to "subscribe" is actually in my gmail account that is ok. The problem is with a POP3 e-mail account. I have e-mail inbox from the last 2 months only, and a trash folder. No sent items folder, no arquives... Any other suggestion? Thank you, Cristina
