My address book was apparently imported twice because I have duplicate address for each entry.

I find that many addresses in my Thunderbird are duplicates. I see that someone asked this question before, how about an answer!

How about reading the answer provided to the person that opened this thread. If that does not help then this thread does not apply to you and you need to start your own thread.

Thanks for your reply, even though it was not helpful.

It would be nice if I could find the comments that you talk about. How do I get back to where I saw the article on "How to delete duplicate addresses?"

I do not see any answer to the question! If it is there, I can not find any answer to the problem!

Sorry, I did not see the link above. I finally found the answer. However, how do I open the file, duplicate_contacts_manager-1.0.6-tb.xpi, and what is an .xpi file? I never heard of it!

Sorry you think I am not helpful. Good luck.

I did not mean that you are not helpful, but I also asked : "what is an .xpi file? I never heard of it!" I know I do not know much, but please understand that that is the case with many users of Thunderbird, and we may not be familiar with the support site! We also may not be familiar with apps that we seldom or ever use!
